Children First’s mission is to provide each child the opportunity to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The staff of Children First guide each child in activities that will create life-long learners, decision-makers, and effective communicators.
About Children First, Inc.
Children First is the culmination of 30+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education for owners Vicki Durham. Children First understands you are entrusting their child’s care to them. They realize the responsibility of that trust and strive to provide a quality of child care that exceeds the standards currently set by the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
Our goal is to provide the utmost care for the whole child, offering a curriculum centered on stimulating the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each child. Active exploration and hands-on experiences help the children touch, see, smell, and manipulate the surrounding environment.
Children First is licensed by the Arkansas Department and is also regulated by the Little Rock Fire Department and the Pulaski County Health Department. Unannounced inspections by these entities occur regularly to ensure adherence to standards.

1. Learn Sign Language
Since we are associated with and on the campus of the Arkansas School for the Deaf, your child has the opportunity to learn signs and socialize with the hearing impaired and the deaf.
2. Good Rating from the Department of Human Services
DHS does regular surprise checks on all daycares and schools, and we always pass with flying colors!
